Coding educators

A course platform for coding and tech educators

A coding lesson is not just a video. Students need the explanation, the code they can copy, and a place to ask what broke. Here is how that works on Course Catalyst, in plain terms.

Write the lesson the way you teach it

Each lesson has a video and written notes side by side. Notes support headings, lists and formatted code blocks, so students can copy the snippet instead of pausing and retyping it.

  • Sections and lessons keep a long course in order.
  • Students mark lessons complete and pick up where they left off.
  • Search inside the course player helps students find that one command again.

Keep the code with the course

Connect a course to GitHub if your lessons live in a repo, or sync lesson content from Markdown. Your source of truth stays in files you control, and the course stays in sync with it.

Give questions a home

Community channels and threads sit next to the course, so questions do not get buried in YouTube comments. Add a live event for office hours or a live walkthrough: students register, get reminders, and you can attach the replay afterwards. Use Zoom, Google Meet or any meeting link.

Grade the work that matters

Assignments take PDF submissions and scored quizzes, so a student can prove they actually built the thing before moving on.

Sell it and email the people who bought it

Checkout, coupons and installment payment plans are built in, which helps with higher-priced bootcamp-style courses. Broadcasts and email sequences let you launch a lesson or nudge students who stalled. You can also run the whole site from Claude through the API and MCP. Both plans have unlimited courses and contacts. Lite is $27/month, Pro is $97/month.
